Jesus said, "Blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it" (Luke 11:28). This emphasizes that the blessing is on the hearer and keeper, not merely the speaker. To keep the word means to obey and follow judiciously after whatever the word says. God, through Christ, assures His audience that true blessings belong to those who both hear and obey His word. Friend, the one who hears receives a blessing, and the one who keeps (obeys) it also receives a blessing. The blessings of God will continue as long as you hear and obey His word.
