Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. *EXPOSITION* At the end of a working period, employers honor their employees based on their performance. In our text for today, the Lord commends the church in Philadelphia. In His commendation, He said: "I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name." This passage suggests that, despite their limited strength, the believers in Philadelphia remained faithful to God's word and never denied His name. Because of this, the Lord set before them a perpetual open door—one that no man can shut. Friend, regardless of the challenges you face, never renounce the name of the Lord or His word. The reward is far greater than the endurance. That open door signifies unending access to His blessings and favor.
