Date: *Thursday, February 20, 2025* *Time With JOJOthePREACHER* Theme: *STAY BEHIND* Text: *1 Samuel 9:27 (ESV)* As they were going down to the outskirts of the city, Samuel said to Saul, “Tell the servant to pass on before us, and when he has passed on, stop here yourself for a while, that I may make known to you the word of God.” *EXPOSITION* In life, it is sometimes good to pause and reflect before moving forward. It is also necessary to withdraw from the crowd before making major decisions. According to the text, Prophet Samuel asked Saul to tell his servant to go ahead. He then instructed Saul to stop for a while so that he could make known to him the word of God. Notably, the word of God was not revealed to Saul while he was in the company of his servant. It was only after the servant had left that he received God’s direction. Friend, understand that some revelations are meant for you alone, and God may not disclose them in the presence of others.
