We have had some questions relating to our swimming offer (above) so I wanted to clarify a few things. Apologies for the lengthy message!
🏊♂️ Swimming lessons will be for children in Years 4 and 5. They will be 45 minutes in length and the children will swim at staggered times, everyday for two weeks. The children will need to come to school in their school uniforms, with their swimming kits underneath. There will be no additional PE sessions for children in Years 4 or 5, so the children *will not need to come in PE kits*.
All children will need a dry towel and swimming hat, everyday. If you don’t have a swim hat, you can purchase one in the School Money App for £5, or they can be purchased on popular sites such as Amazon. They can also wear goggles if they wish.
🤿 For those children who have signed up to the extra curricular sessions in the School Money app, your sessions will run as follows:
*Year 1* - come in your swimming kit and get changed into uniform after lesson - WGE staff will be on hand to support with this. Arrive at 8:20am at KS1 doors.
*Year 2* - come in your swimming kit and get changed into uniform after lesson - WGE staff will be on hand to support with this. Arrive at 7:50am at KS1 doors.
*Year 3* - bring swimming kit in a bag. The children will get changed into their swimming kit at 2:55pm. You will need to pick up your child from the bottom playground at 3:30pm.
*Year 6* - bring swimming kit in a bag. The children will get changed into their swimming kit at 3:25pm. You will need to pick up your child from the bottom playground at 4pm (unless they have permission to walk home alone).
I hope that this answers any questions that you may have. Please contact school if you have any additional questions.
Enjoy the rest of your half term 🏖️
