Reimagining, Reinventing and Repositioning ISI for a transformed ISI@100 -Dr Saurabh Garg, Secretary, MoSPI highlighted the commitment of the Government to strengthen ISI as a global leader in statistical science and related disciplines, in his address as a special guest, at the 59th Convocation of the Indian Statistical Institute held on February 4, 2025 at ISI, New Delhi. Prof Abhijit Vinayak Banerjee, recipient of the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences and Ford Foundation International Professor of Economics at MIT, USA graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The ceremony was presided over by Prof. Sankar Kumar Pal, President, ISI. Prof. Sanghamitra Bandyopadhyay, Director of ISI; Prof. Biswabrata Pradhan, Dean, Studies, ISI; Faculty Members and students of ISI participated in the ceremony.
