Contribution of unincorporated sector enterprises is significant in India's GDP. To measure this contribution, the enumerators of NSO, Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation collect information about revenues, expenditures, workers, major problems being faced etc. from the unincorporated enterprises statistically selected in an annual survey, named, ASUSE. This information helps the Government to form data-driven policies for benefit of these small enterprises. Ongoing Annual Survey of Unincorporated Sector Enterprises (ASUSE) in one urban block in Madhya Pradesh. The enumerator of NSO, empowered with the satellite-based app and a tablet, collecting information from various small enterprises like catering service provider, driver of an electric rickshaw, an artist-turned manufacturer of plywood-boxes for music instruments, etc.
