Russian ex-convict sentenced for third murder after returning from war A court in Volsk, Saratov region, has sentenced 39-year-old Ivan Bondar to nine years in a high-security prison for causing grievous bodily harm to his partner, Nadezhda Kuimova, which led to her death. According to case records, on November 5, 2024, Bondar, recently back from the front, hosted a dinner. During the party, he asked Kuimova if she had been unfaithful on her birthday. After several blows, she admitted to cheating. Bondar then proceeded to beat her with his hands, feet, and a rolling pin, delivering at least 20 punches. Kuimova died two days later from her injuries. Earlier, in September 2022, Bondar was sentenced to 14 years for fatally beating his acquaintance, Valery Perekhodtsev. While serving his sentence, he signed a contract to go to the front, after which he was pardoned and returned to Volsk. Bondar had previously been convicted of theft, drug distribution, and another fatal beating.
