*Urgent Call to Support Syria's Endangered Christian Communities* The President of the Commission of the Bishops’ Conferences of the European Union (COMECE), Bishop Mariano Crociata, expressed grave concern over the erosion of Syria’s Christian communities. He highlighted the deep humanitarian crisis following years of conflict, displacement, and poverty affecting all Syrians, irrespective of their religious or ethnic backgrounds. Bishop Crociata particularly drew attention to the plight of Christian communities that have been an integral part of the region's history and culture. He called on the EU and international community to protect and preserve these communities, emphasizing the need for long-term strategies for peacebuilding and reconciliation.
