If there's one thing that can't be avoided with talking about when it comes to Medieval Times are the Christian crusades, magic, spiritism, corruption, and more. As much as we try to romanticize or make a family-friendly aspect of it, there are certain things that cannot be avoided. What I want to do is add to my story The idea of saying 'Yes, this and that happened and this was the norm for some but what are we doing now?' One topic that unfortunately can't be fully avoided are the illegitimate children of some rulers. In many cases, it's because these particular kings or queens had no choice but to marry who they didn't like or have grown to dislike. Others was because of being against the idea of a Queen Regnant. I would argue that Henry VIII, and England in general, would likely have remain Catholic if the laws that are in place today in the United Kingdom back then and he would not have infamously married six wives. Some of whom were tragically executed on false charges. I'm thinking about adding a side story of the members of my medieval royal family of ones who love each other despite the common norms women had to endure like having miscarriages and other things that wasn't her fault.
