All the research I'm doing on medieval food is actually making me hungry. But to be honest, it's almost 7:00 a.m. and I didn't eat breakfast yet.

I think one subject that can't be avoided when it comes to medieval times that we often try to sugarcoat here in the United States is slavery. Many feel uncomfortable talking about that based on how slaves were treated in some lands or are still treated today. I believe that slavery was not bad to begin with but uncaring individuals with seemingly domineering personalities or levels of authority made it look like slavery is evil. Even God encouraged Ancient Israel to be kind to their slaves since they were slaves in Egypt. How can you ask for God's blessing if you're not kind enough to be blessed? Am I saying that countries who got rid of slavery is wrong? No. Honestly, as a black man who lives in the United States, my viewpoint would likely differ if I was under a cruel slave owner or master. I'm adding this story only because there has to be a good number of slave owners, even in medieval times, that were kind to the people under them because we often read about their contemporaries who have near enlightened qualities. I don't think they were alone.

Been trying to play SimCity 2013 again but something is up with the EA app. It's been a while since I've last played this game and honestly, I miss my region and it's not just because I'm the Absolute Dictator of it. Question that last statement all you want but it's crazy how much autonomy you're giving in that game.

SimCity still didn't work so it's done on my laptop. I might get Cities Skylines 2 when I get my new laptop later this year. Ironic how this region went from trying to be in Train Simulator Classic to SimCity to potentially Cities Skylines. Who knows?

Arguably the most detailed place I've ever written about thus far in my series and I can't even access the Word document directly on my laptop. I could go to it anywhere else but there. And it stinks because I'm literally almost done with my medieval realm.

If there's one thing that can't be avoided with talking about when it comes to Medieval Times are the Christian crusades, magic, spiritism, corruption, and more. As much as we try to romanticize or make a family-friendly aspect of it, there are certain things that cannot be avoided. What I want to do is add to my story The idea of saying 'Yes, this and that happened and this was the norm for some but what are we doing now?' One topic that unfortunately can't be fully avoided are the illegitimate children of some rulers. In many cases, it's because these particular kings or queens had no choice but to marry who they didn't like or have grown to dislike. Others was because of being against the idea of a Queen Regnant. I would argue that Henry VIII, and England in general, would likely have remain Catholic if the laws that are in place today in the United Kingdom back then and he would not have infamously married six wives. Some of whom were tragically executed on false charges. I'm thinking about adding a side story of the members of my medieval royal family of ones who love each other despite the common norms women had to endure like having miscarriages and other things that wasn't her fault.

There's one spoiler that I just gave on Instagram listening to a song from an artist whose music I frequently played on Spotify. Basically, I have a future project that'll highlight a potential future resort in the North Pole. What will it be called Will be discussed at a later date.

While researching for my medieval village, I couldn't help but see a Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament event on YouTube. (Because I can't afford to go to Lyndhurst right now) As much as I enjoyed certain aspects of it, I still couldn't help but notice too many modern aesthetics like the "Queen" wearing a microphone. What I wanted to create is transactions similar to medieval times where instead of doing electronic transactions, they would be actual coins to exchange. I think I finally found an answer to that after looking for solution after solution since Sunday.

In the meantime, the village for my medieval land is going along really well. Kind of cheating with AI, I figured out ways to implement modern knowledge and know-hows with medieval techniques. I'm now working on the Viking Village within the land and I'm honestly thinking about the husband of the Warrior Princess being in a formerly gay relationship. I know it's a bold approach but I don't think there are too many stories out there of ones who may have been gay at some point but then changed for whatever reason. It's not that I'm homophobic and I don't condone physical or verbal abuse against any LGBTQ+ members but it's a story that I was thinking about adding.

Going back into SimCity 2013 one last time. I've been trying to play this game again for over a week and EA is just not with it anymore. I know other City Planners prefer Skylines and Skylines 2. I want to play the latter but I just don't have the time to really get into it. It's literally why I don't play Minecraft. Besides, there was one city in my region that I couldn't get back into and EA probably couldn't fix the matter. As King of Bethari, I like to make sure that every city in The United Empire is completely cared for and as much as I was doing a good job with high quality transportation, (Cause you know me) my next thing was getting so many criminals off the street. It actually came to a point where I cut down on the number of police officers patrolling the streets because crime was so low. (And I had law drones everywhere) The next step was to make sure education help to minimize these crimes. Like I've mentioned before, Bethari is actually going to be incorporated into a future book in my series. Some things might stay the same while other things will definitely change.
