The biggest problem with monorails are sometimes not the trains themselves but the fact that the companies that build them often don't last too long. ALWEG probably built the most influential monorail system of all time and while some of their products are still being used in Disneyland and Seattle, the company itself is no longer around with remnants being part of Alstom.
I think I want the monorail connecting the homeport for Project Eleven with the seaport and airport to have materials that are not only durable but self-healing. The risk is there might be one product that could bankrupt the manufacturer but at least it'll last longer like almost every operating monorail today.
