The Controlroom Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of management within the control room. Duties & Responsibilities You will be responsible for identifying, assessing and mitigating risks to ensure the safety and security of the controlroom operations. Management of all control room and satellite control operations. Loading of new client details in the monitoring system. Changing and deleting of radio transmitters. Editing client profiles. Testing of alarm signals with technicians and clients. Ensure effective response to client emergencies. Compiling and printing operational reports and incident reports. Management of specialized equipment, software and Firearm Control Act compliance including all backup of controlroom equipment. Management of Listener database accuracy (including account details, customer, key holder details radio codes and all relevant emergency contact and action details). Report problems and serious matters to operational business unit Managers. Record technical alarm bookings and call outs on Listener software. Provide access to monitoring systems. Recruitment and management of controlroom operators. Conduct disciplinary hearings. Desired Experience & Qualification Must have a valid Grade A PSIRA qualification. Must have matric or tertiary qualification. Must have 5-8 years of Control Room Security management experience preferably in the security sector. Must have 3-5 years of Remote Site Monitoring management experience. Must have 3-5 years of internal and external investigation experience. Must have 2 years’ experience in IP networks. Must have 2 years of SQL experience and database integration experience. Must have advanced CCTV/Listener management preferably in a controlroom or similar environment. Must have advanced listener integration experience. Must have advanced systems knowledge of Dahua, Hikvision, and Vumacam. Must be computer literate (i.e. advanced knowledge in excel, MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook). Must be disciplined, focused, and have strong work ethics. Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must have strong client liaison and customer relations skills (essential). Must have excellent and effective communication skills (verbal and written communication). Must have strong interpersonal abilities. Must be able to work independently and take initiative. Must be able and willing to work under pressure and long hours. Must have knowledge of relevant regulations and industry best practices related to risk management.
