23 February 2024 21:50pm Dear affected residents in northcroft , lenham, whetstone, fernham and other surrounding areas. My collegues and myself have been escalating the power outages in the affected areas. The city has around 400 faults due to surges on the system cause by the national loadshedding nonsense. The department have indicated that they working as fast as they can to attend to faults and restore power as soon as they possibly can. Please take note that it is not just phoenix areas that are affected but vast areas in eThekwini. Unfortunately to get feedback when they be onsite or if they already onsite is hard to advise. The city will issue a statement soon on their fb page to advise the situation and the actions they are taking to attend to the faults. The city also wants to advise that the timeframe is between 2 to 24 hours. As soon as feedback is Given by the department, i will advise Accordingly. Regards Cllr Samier Singh
