*💔 Rest in Peace, Tamiriraishe 💔*
_(Emotional & Saddening)_
*Dear family,*
With profound sorrow, we share the heartbreaking news that Tamiriraishe Chitota has passed away. At just 19, he fought bravely against Fanconi anaemia, but despite all efforts to secure the urgent blood he needed, we lost him.
This loss is devastating, but in the midst of this tragedy, we also witnessed something truly remarkable—*more than 10 people reached out to me to volunteer to donate blood.* This level of compassion and selflessness is something to be deeply commended. You didn’t hesitate to step up, to offer a part of yourselves in the hope of saving a life.
*Thank you.*
Your actions prove that kindness and humanity are still alive, and we are grateful beyond words.
However, we cannot afford to only act when an emergency arises. Too often, we lose lives that could have been saved simply because help came too late. How many more Tamiriraishe’s must we lose before we change?
*What We Can Do to Stop Losing Lives Like This*
💉 Normalize donating blood regularly – It takes just a few minutes, but for someone like Tamiriraishe, it could mean a second chance at life. Let’s not wait for an emergency to act.
📢 Share messages like these far and wide – A simple share can be the reason someone gets help in time. In times of crisis, awareness saves lives. Let’s normalize spreading urgent calls for help because you never know who might be able to assist.
🫂 Support struggling families – When someone is in a medical crisis, they need more than just treatment. Transport, food, emotional support—these small acts of kindness make a difference.
🏥 Strengthen emergency response platforms – Organizations like Emergency Health Group have been instrumental in running medical fundraisers and mobilizing resources when needed most. To everyone behind these efforts, we see you, we appreciate you, and we thank you. 🙏
We must be proactive, not reactive. Tamiriraishe should still be here today. His passing is a painful reminder that Zimbabwe’s blood banks are running low, that too many families are left to struggle alone, and that help often comes when it is already too late. We have the power to change this.
To his mother, Lynn Mudiwa, and the entire family—we stand with you in this unbearable grief. No words can take away the pain, but please know that Tamiriraishe was deeply loved, and his story will not be forgotten. We will honor his memory by pushing for a community that acts before it’s too late.

Rest in peace, Tamiriraishe. You were loved, and your life will forever inspire us to do better. 🕊️💜
