There is a reason why we worry. In fact, allow me to tell you that worrying in it's functional form, is like an alarm system which is meant to make us aware of a potential threat and it allows us to take useful action.
Much like if your teenage child is not yet back by curfew time, worrying about them will prompt you to call them or their friends to check if they are okay.
