There is a reason why we worry. In fact, allow me to tell you that worrying in it's functional form, is like an alarm system which is meant to make us aware of a potential threat and it allows us to take useful action. Much like if your teenage child is not yet back by curfew time, worrying about them will prompt you to call them or their friends to check if they are okay.

β Do you find yourself worrying a lot? β Do you worry about your finances, your relationship, your job, your health, your future? β Have you noticed that once the thing you were worrying about passes, your mind finds something new or something else to worry about? The problem comes now, when that alarm system is always being triggered, even when there's no intruder or one that keeps ringing even after the intruder has now been sent to jail. When worrying becomes unhealthy, it affects our health, our relationships and our quality of life. In fact excessive worry is a symptom associated with several mental health conditions such as anxiety disorders, panic attacks, PTSD, OCD, paranoia, etc
