*Dramatic incident at Weltevredenpark business leads to arrest of 3 suspects* Late on Thursday night, an armed robbery occurred at a business in Weltevredenpark. Three suspects had reportedly held up and attacked the shopkeeper and a security guard as the shop was about to close. The shopkeeper was wounded in the attack. Beagle Watch, SAPS, CPF and various other security providers responded. Our three Officers, along with members of other security providers, worked together to force open the gate and gain entry to the premises. As a result of the co-operation of all the various responders, three suspects were taken into custody, and two firearms were recovered. One was a functional weapon, while the other was a fake gun. The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Investigations continue.
