*Vehicle marked as 'wanted' on SAPS database found* On Wednesday morning, our Specialised Crime Unit picked up on a vehicle that had been flagged as stolen on the SAPS database. Teamwork between the JMPD CCTV Control Room and the Beagle Watch CCTV Control Room, together with the efforts of our Specialised Crime Unit on the ground, lead the successful interception of the vehicle in Florida Hills. The vehicle was handed over to the JMPD SPU (Special Patrol Unit) and our team assisted with impounding the vehicle at the South African Police Service, Aeroton Vehicle Identification Service Unit. *Teamwork leads to arrest of three suspects in connection with theft from motor vehicles* On Wednesday morning, the JMPD CCTV Control Room requested the help of our Specialised Crime Unit in locating a Toyota HiAce minibus that had been spotted on Beyers Naudé Drive, travelling towards the N1. The vehicle had been flagged in connection with theft of motor vehicle batteries. Our team immediately responded and, working together with Fairland SAPS and the Johannesburg Metro Police Department's Tactical Response Unit (TRU), intercepted the vehicle at Cresta Crossing. The driver and two passengers were handed over to Fairland SAPS and the vehicle was impounded by TRU. The three suspects have previous convictions for theft of a motor vehicle, murder and common robbery. Further investigations are being conducted. `#TheBeagleWatchDifference`


*Vehicle involved in dispute over payments recovered in Westdene* On Friday morning, our team received a notification from JMPD regarding a stolen vehicle. Our CCTV team started tracking the vehicle and, within a few minutes, intercepted the vehicle in Westdene. Upon investigation, it was established that there was a dispute between the seller and buyer of the vehicle regarding payments. The vehicle will be booked into the SAPS Vehicle Identification Service Unit in Aeroton and further investigations are underway. `#TheBeagleWatchDifference`


*Three men and a pregnant woman arrested in Wilropark* On Wednesday afternoon, the JMPD Control Room put out an alert regarding a vehicle linked to a common robbery reported at SAPS Sandton. Our CCTV team started tracking the vehicle and our Specialised Crime Unit located the vehicle in Wilropark. Four suspects, including a pregnant woman, were travelling in the vehicle. The four were positively identified and linked to another incident with the help of CCTV footage. The suspects were handed over to SAPS. `#TheBeagleWatchDifference`

*Beagle Watch team tracks down vehicle involved in theft of motor vehicle headlights* On Friday afternoon, our team received a notification regarding a vehicle of interest in the Northcliff area. Our CCTV team immediately started investigating, making use of our Licence Plate Recognition (LPR) system, and managed to find a vehicle with a similar description that had been involved in an incident of attempted theft from a motor vehicle in Northcliff. The Beagle Watch Specialised Crime Unit was dispatched, but lost the vehicle in Westbury. On Monday morning, our LPR system in Newlands picked up that the vehicle was on the move again. Our Specialised Crime Unit immediately responded, tracking the vehicle to business premises in Newlands. While our team was surveilling, the driver abandoned the vehicle, leaving the keys and his personal belongings behind. Upon further inspection, it was confirmed that the vehicle had cloned number plates and is a stolen vehicle, which can be linked to various cases of theft or attempted theft of vehicle headlights in the area. The vehicle and the driver's belongings were handed over to Sophiatown SAPS. `#TheBeagleWatchDifference`


*Three suspects apprehended in connection with vehicle theft* On Friday, our team received an alert from the JMPD Vuma Control Room regarding a vehicle linked to a case of motor vehicle theft. The vehicle was first spotted in Bergbron. Our teams, together with the JMPD Vuma Control Room, followed its course, as it travelled through Albertskroon. Our Specialised Crime Unit soon confirmed seeing the vehicle in Westdene. At the first attempt to intercept the vehicle, the driver tried to flee the scene at high speed, but our team persevered and the vehicle was successfully blocked, with back-up from the Sophiatown JMPD Tactical Response Unit (TRU). Three suspects were apprehended and several computer boxes, programming devices, and breaking implements were found in the vehicle. The suspects were handed over to SAPS and the vehicle impounded at the SAPS Vehicle Identification Service Unit in Aeroton. `#TheBeagleWatchDifference`

*Beagle Watch team locates Quantum linked to case of fraud at service station in Montgomery Park* On Thursday night, our CCTV team picked up on a Toyota Quantum linked to a case of fraud. The vehicle was first spotted in Fairland on Beyers Naudé Drive. Our CCTV desk started tracking the vehicle and Response Officers were placed on high alert. Soon, another hit was received, and our Officers immediately proceeded and found the vehicle at a service station in Montgomery Park, where the vehicle was intercepted.
