📢 New support for foster carers: helping kids stay in loving Plymouth homes A new package of support has been developed to help children and young people with higher levels of need to live in a family home in or near to Plymouth. The new ‘Step Forward Scheme’ for foster carers has been developed by Foster for Plymouth to address the challenge of a growing number of children in residential care. Foster carers who support children with complex needs will receive: ✔️Financial support: A minimum of £800/week (£41,600/year) ✔️Professional support: Access to mental health experts and dedicated social workers ✔️Peer support: Buddy systems and monthly group meetings 💙 Do you want to make a difference in children’s lives, right here in Plymouth?
