WHY ARE THERE MANY DRUGS AGAINST BACTERIAL INFECTIONS AND A FEW AGAINST VIRAL ONES🤔💭 There's a significant disparity in the number of drugs available to combat bacterial versus viral infections. This disparity stems from fundamental differences in the biology of bacteria and viruses. Bacteria are complex, single-celled organisms with unique biochemical processes that can be targeted by drugs, allowing for selective inhibition of bacterial enzymes or destruction of their cell walls without harming human cells. In contrast, viruses are much simpler, relying on the host cell's machinery to replicate and synthesize viral proteins, making it challenging to develop drugs that target viruses without also harming human cells. #medcare👍
