In a move set to transform the academic journey of deserving students, Open University of Kenya (OUK) Council member Dr. Hillman McOkwiri has pledged to award four scholarships to high school graduates from Project Elimu who enroll in OUK programmes. Dr. McOkwiri, co-founder and Chairperson of the Board of Project Elimu, together with Mike Wamaya, a Global Teacher Prize finalist in 2017, made the announcement during an engagement session with students. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Elijah Omwenga, introduced them to the University and its programmes, addressing individual questions and highlighting the flexibility and accessibility of OUK’s digital learning model.
