The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport is calling on all drama groups in the Garden Route, West Coast, Overberg and Cape Winelands Districts to apply to participate in the 15th Annual DCAS Drama Festival for 2025/26. The theme of the festival is “Creative stories of the Western Cape”. Criteria: Drama groups are limited to 8 members per group. Applicants must be amateurs who are active in community theatre. Applicants should preferably be between 12 and 35 years old. Applications are open only to amateur artists living in these districts. Attach a 25-minute script with your application. Previously developed productions will be accepted, excluding winners and runner‐ups (attach final script with application). Closing date for registration: 21 February 2025.
