God is always concerned with one of our ears. In the book of Revelation 2.17, He says, "He that hath an ear..." Perhaps, the ear that listens is not the two auricles on our head but a spot near the ventricles of our hearts. The wise man and the writer of this text said profoundly to his son, "Incline your ears to my saying... do not let them depart from your HEART!" Hearing is stored in the heart. Our heart is the variable for wisdom. When we listen and store life giving rebukes in our heart, we will not only sit but live with the wise.
