In ligation, the agreed statement of facts forms the fulcrum of the case. When a purportedly learned counsel begins to import facts or misconstrue words in his argument, he not only do damage to his brief but also demonstrates his incompetence before his lord in court. Similarly, in communicating and dealing with people, essential skills are required such as listening and analytical thinking. Unfortunately, many people don't listen. They just want to speak what they think without examining the facts of the matter; argue blindly and jump into conclusions. This kind of behavior will only lead to shame when the facts begin to emerge.
