Woe refers to the trouble and problems one incur on himself; something that causes great sorrow, distress and troubles. Such is the fate the Lord decrees on anyone who deliberately twists facts of life for whatsoever reason. Often time, people know the truth but remain and embrace the lie. They deceive themselves even when the right thing to be done glares at them. Another verse of the Bible that seems to elucidate this fact is found in Pro. 24:24 “He that saith unto the wicked, Thou are righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him:” You can’t see what’s wrong and try to cover it up or camouflage it as right and expect to be guiltless. Funnily our society and public spaces today is littered with such insolence, people will see what’s evil and sugarcoat it to be good, gaslighting people here and there by lying about something that’s glaring enough for everyone to see the truth, and having people question their sanity. Just look at the news especially as touching the political space today. We dare not mention the case of those who sit on the seat of judgement and how justice is perverted in every level today. The only reward that awaits anyone who indulges in such acts of wickedness is woe. The remedy for self incurred trouble also lie within; quit self-deception and stop arguing over established truths of life.
