God speaks to us in many ways and one of such ways is through the cry of the poor or the help we must render to those in need. But you may be thinking, "I need help myself!" Actually, the cry of the poor also refers to an area of need that God has endowed you to serve. This principle suggests that your needs will be met when you serve the need of others. Interestingly, our world is full of many cries of the poor yet only a few are willing to listen to them. What we see prevailent in our culture today is an astronomical increase in self centeredness and covetousness. Everyone desires everything good to come to them without letting out even the smallest amount to reach their neighbors. One interesting fact about life and how God design things to flow through is that; what you desire for yourself you must in your own little way give it to others. this is true concerning every life area. Do you want loyal friends, become one; do you want financial blessings, open up your wallet bless someone financially; you desire favour from God and men, show men favour. There’re many verses of the Bible that backs each of these realities and even in our contemporary world they have be tested and proven to be true. Some unanswered prayers are pointers to the cries of others we've not paid attention to.
