Like we saw days ago (DDW/25/02/’25.) and as we promised to talk a little more about the topic of faithfulness; We were told then (in the words of Paul) that it is expected of stewards that they be found faithful. And today The Lord is adding that, your faithfulness in little things is how you prove to men and God that you’ll be faithful in much. Is it not true about everyone who is serving in any capacity or who is in charge of some resources, office or influence to desire greater levels and measures? Does not everyone desire some sort of promotion or the other? If that is true, what the Wisdom of God is saying now is, as you seek more heights, as you desire more success and increase; prove yourself to have what it takes to handle that more by being faithful with the little that you have now. Jesus is saying that trustworthiness in small, earthly matters is a reflection of one’s reliability in greater, spiritual matters. It underscores the importance of stewardship and integrity, suggesting that how one handles material wealth impacts their capacity to be entrusted with spiritual blessings. In fact, it only makes sense that way. Imagine yourself as a Head of some multinational, multibillion conglomerate, and you saddle one of your staffs with the responsibility of handling a project that’s of a few million dollars and he flops woefully, and then there’s another project that’s worth more, say a few billion now. I can bet my most precious asset that you won’t have that same person handle that project. Because such a huge amount if not well handled and such resources be lost from your business, it’ll cost the company a whole fortune. this is also true with every aspect of life.
