Editorial 2025 Presidentials: SDF shouldn't support CPDM! The North West Region remains unquestionably the fief of the Social Democratic Front, SDF, and arguably where the seed of democracy was implanted with its launching by the legendary John Fru Ndi of blessed memory. Last week, it held its Strategic Regional Convention in Bamenda which was attended by Divisional Coordinators, National Executive Committee (NEC) members, and National Advisory Council (NAC) members. Presided over by the Regional Chairman who is also Mayor of Bamenda III, Fongu Cletus Tanwe, the convention focused on assessing the party’s organizational strength and planning for the upcoming presidential election slated for October. In the words of the mayor, “this meeting is crucial for evaluating the health of the party in the region and preparing for the electoral challenges ahead”.
