Some 11 skeletons, four bodies and one survivor have been found near the automatic tollbooth in Edéa, Sanaga-Maritime Division of the Littoral Region. The remains are reported to have been discovered in a palm grove near the toll station on February 17 by forces of law and order. Preliminary investigations by the gendarmerie are said to have suggested that the bodies are those of individuals who had been kidnapped in Yaounde, several months ago and brought to Edea.
