The National Union of Cameroonian Footballers, best known as SYNAFOC, has condemned in strongest terms the alleged detention and torture of Victoria United FC goalkeeper, Eric Parfait Djomeni, by the club president, Valentine Nkwain. SYNAFOC has also announced that it will pursue legal action against those they consider responsible for what they described as such “degrading and inhumane practices”, but did not give any additional details. The condemnation is contained in a press release SYNAFOC issued on Tuesday February 25 and signed by its Secretary General, Daniel Blaise Ngos.
