⚘⚘⚘⚘ *_ḤĀL AS-SALAF MAʿ AṢ-ṢALAT_* ⚘⚘⚘⚘ 🕌 _( The state of the pious predecessors with the Ṣalat )_ 🕌 ❉❉❉❉❉❉❉ ❉❉❉❉❉❉❉ (𝟑𝟐) ✺ Bishr bn al-Mundhir, may Allāh have mercy on him said: ❝ *_I saw al-Awzāʿī (d. 157) looking [during Ṣalat] as if he was blind out of humility._*❞ ¹ Bishr bn al-Mundhir (Abū al-Mundhir) al-Miṣṣīṣī ar-Ramlī ad-Dimashqī. He was a reputable jurist in Miṣṣīṣah [i.e. a city on the borders of the Levant, between Antioch and the Romans, close to Tarsus, Turkey] and a narrator of ḥadith. He narrated from Muḥammad bn Muslim aṭ-Ṭāifī, Layth bn Saʿad, Ibn Luhayʿah, and others, while Musa bn Sahl ar-Ramlī, Muḥammad bn ʿAwf, Yusuf bn Saʿeed bn Muslim, and others narrated from him. Al-ʿUqaylī said in his _ad-Duʿafāʾ al-Kabīr_ that there are misapprehensions in some of Bishr's narrations while Abū Ḥatim graded him as a truthful narrator and Ibn Ḥibban also recorded him to be a reliable narrator in his _Ath-Thiqāt_. Abū Ḥatim narrated that he and other students once approached Bishr to learn ḥadith but they knocked on his door violently, upon which Bishr made a vow not to narrated ḥadith to them. May Allāh have mercy on them. 📚 [ _Siyar Aʿlam an-Nubalāʾ_ of adh-Dhahabī, 7/119 ] © ʍǟռɖʊɮ https://t.me/minaqwaal_alulamaa/45
