Report: Captain Robins reports attended the shooting incident of our POP member. Force number: 7249591-0 Cst Gcabashe.M. The member was standing at Emachobeni Main rd in front of Local is Lekka Hardware at about 19:30. The member was approached by 2 suspects that alighted from a silver VW polo with reg NDW 2591. Whilst the suspects were talking to the member they instructed his girlfriend Mcobile Makhathini to walk away, whilst walking away she heard 2 gunshots and upon discovery she noticed that Cst Gcabashe was shot on his face and under his right armpit. She then discovered that his state firearm Beretta PX4 with serial no. PX396800 was taken by the suspects as his empty holster was still on his pants,his Samsung cellphone was also taken by the suspects. Scene was attended by Inanda SAPS, Sgt I.B.Ngcobo 0671032510. Col. D.Govender from DPCI took over the scene with contact no. 0837752201. CAS no. to follow. The body was removed at about 23:15 by Mortuary vehicle.
