Union Tourism Secretary Visits SCSVMV - 27th Feb 2025 Ms. V. Vidyavathi, IAS, Union Tourism Secretary, visited Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya (SCSVMV) Deemed University on 27th February 2025, accompanied by Smt. S. Padmavathy, Assistant Director, India Tourism - Tamil Nadu (Chennai) .  During her visit, Prof. G. Srinivasu, Vice Chancellor of SCSVMV, briefed her on the mission 'Saswathaiswaryam - The eternal treasure', which focuses on the preservation and research of Palm Leaf Manuscripts. He also highlighted the publication of books on Sanskrit inscriptions under the project 'Uttankita Vidyaranya'. Prof. Vasanth Mehta, Pro-Vice Chancellor detailed the various initiatives of SCSVMV in preserving the Indian Knowledge and Heritage by deployment of advanced technology. The delegation visited the Palm Leaf Manuscript content preservation & research centre and interacted with Research team and Faculty members. Faculty members from Dept of Sanskrit and Indian culture were also present.Smt. Vidyavathi expressed her appreciation for the university's efforts in physical and content preservation of Palm Leaf manuscripts.
