The Union Budget has made ULIP gains TAXABLE. ULIP returns will now be taxed as Capital Gains at 12.5% (if held for more than 1 year) Earlier ULIPs were exempt for taxation under SEction 10(10D). They will now be treated similar to Equity Mutual funds in terms of Taxation. #dontretirerich
