This month marks *the third year since Russia invaded Ukraine.* Rotary’s support for people injured and displaced by the conflict continues.
“In the first 18 months, the need for advanced surgical equipment for *brain trauma, limb amputations, and internal organ damage from mortar attacks and shrapnel* became a priority,” writes 2023-24 Rotary International Vice President Pat Merryweather-Arges in a post on the Rotary 360 blog. “The *mental wounds of war* are deep and harder to address.”
