*ANSWERING THE CALL* _By Pastor Wilberforce Bezudde_ *30So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.* _(Ezekiel 22:30 NKJV)_ The wall spoken of here was not a physical structure made of stones and mortar but rather a spiritual wall. God was seeking someone to build a spiritual wall around the city, protecting it from the consequences of evil and establishing truth and righteousness. What the city needed was a complete spiritual reconstruction. However, God found no one willing to stand in the gap on behalf of the people. Everyone was spiritually feeble and unprepared. Standing in the gap and building this spiritual wall can only be accomplished through prayer and preaching the message of salvation. Today, I sense the Lord calling the church daily to prayer. Our city and nation need to repent and return to God, but that can only happen if we, the church, rise up and intercede. Healing for the land will come through persistent prayer. We need a demonstration of God's power, not mere religion. Religion, in itself, is just a surface covering—it cannot bring true transformation. The city needs genuine change, and that is why God is seeking people who are fully devoted to Him to stand in the gap and make a difference in the world. Child of God, will you respond to this Holy call to stand in the gap for God’s people through intercession? I pray that God touches your heart and reveals the urgency in the Spirit. We cannot delay. If we delay, our nation risks missing the promise of tomorrow. The time for action is now—our prayers and intercession are vital for the healing and transformation God desires to bring. Let us not hold back but step into the gap with urgency and faith.God is calling us to rise up in prayer and stand in faith. Will you answer His call? _Child of God; will you respond to this Holy call to stand in the gap for God’s people through intercession?_ Hallelujah! Jesus is Lord! *Today’s Prayer:* Heavenly Father, I respond to Your call with a humble heart, standing in the gap for my family, neighbourhood, city, and nation. Stir within me a deeper passion for prayer and intercession. Awaken Your church to rise up and seek Your face. Forgive, heal, and transform our land, Lord. I ask for transformation, truth, and righteousness to prevail. Empower me with boldness and faith, trusting in Your power to bring lasting change. Let Your will be done in and through me for Your glory. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
