*GOD’S INSTRUMENT OF CHANGE THROUGH PRAYER*
_By Pastor Wilberforce Bezudde_
*7And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the LORD for it; for in its peace you will have peace.*
_(Jeremiah 29:7 NKJV)_
Life cannot come to a stop during challenging times. What do we do when we find ourselves in unpleasant or distressing situations in the cities or nations where we live?
When corruption, injustice, poverty, unemployment, and oppression weigh heavily on both citizens and foreigners, it is easy to feel overwhelmed and you may not always feel the urgency to pray for our cities, nations, or those in authority—but that is precisely when our prayers are most needed.
Consider how you would respond if a loved one were diagnosed with cancer. Wouldn't you go to great lengths to find a way to stop the disease from taking their life? That same urgency should drive us to pray for our cities and nations. People are suffering from spiritual "cancers," and our cities and nations are in desperate need of spiritual healing.
Prayer is not just a response; it is a responsibility. When we intercede for our communities, we invite God’s presence and power to bring change. God’s Word promises that when we pray for the land and it prospers, we too will prosper. The prosperity of the land depends on our commitment to prayer. But the blessing is that when the land prospers, those who faithfully pray will experience the overflow of that prosperity. Let us rise as intercessors, believing in the transformative power of prayer.
Prayer is the remedy for the spiritual and physical stress in our world today. The answer lies in the power of intercession, and God is seeking labourers in prayer to stand in the gap and save our world.
_Child of God; God never moves without people who believe. He moves in accordance with the reach of our faith. Let’s believe God—it is possible for our world to be saved._
Hallelujah!
Jesus is Lord!
*Today’s Prayer:*
Dear Holy Spirit,
Strengthen me and ignite a passion for intercession. I believe for the power that transforms cities and nations to manifest in my time and generation. I am rising as a labourer in prayer, standing in the gap for those in need. Use me to bring healing and salvation.
In Jesus' Name, Amen!
