“Since Allāh has placed in the hearts of believers a deep yearning to witness His Sacred House, and not everyone is capable of witnessing it every year, He made ḥajj obligatory once in a lifetime for those who are able, and made the season of the ten days shared between those who travel and those who remain behind. Thus, whoever is unable to perform pilgrimage in a year can perform devotions during these ten days in their home that could be more virtuous than jihad, which itself is more virtuous than pilgrimage.
_The nights of the ten are times of guaranteed response_
_So hasten with desire to attain its reward_
_Indeed, no time offers workers_
_A reward of good that is closer to attainment_
_Than the nights of the ten, guaranteed_
_So prepare and seek therein repentance_”
