A large part of her work has been on the subject of menstruation. What started as awareness sessions to rural girls on menstrual hygiene, soon grew to exploring and unearthing the ancient wisdom and indigenous science behind menstrual practices in India. She has worked across 9 states in India, and directly interacted with over 15,000 adolescent girls and women to really understand the practices and problems pertaining to menstruation, first hand. Her blog is one of the largest available archives of information pertaining to the science behind menstrual practices in India. It has over 1.3 million hits and is read by people across 150 countries. By speaking at three TEDx platforms, two international radio channels and representing India at the 2015 Global Conference on Menstrual Health & Reproductive Justice, she is taking the message to the world that Indian women, through their wisdom, cultural practices and deeper understanding of menstruation, are capable of offering solutions to women everywhere.
