*DAY 3: 7TH LASU RESEARCH AND INNOVATION FAIR SENSITISATION VISITS*
On Wednesday, 4th June 2025, the Central Planning Committee (CPC), LASU Research and Innovation Fair, continued its sensitisation visits for the upcoming 7th edition of the fair, set to take place on Wednesday, 8th, and Thursday, 9th October 2025 at the Aderemi Makanjuola Lecture Theatre, Lagos State University, Ojo. The committee engaged with members of the Faculties of Education and Law, underscoring the significance of this year's fair as a vital legacy for the institution.
The Director, DRMI and Chairman, CPC, LASU Research and Innovation Fair, Prof. Adejuwon Adeneye, emphasised the fair's importance, stating, “The LASU Research and Innovation Fair is our legacy.” He extended special appreciation to the Faculty of Education for submitting the highest number of abstracts and encouraged all faculty members to participate actively this year.
Registration details were provided, outlining the fees for participants: ₦25,000 for staff, ₦15,000 for postgraduate students, at, ₦5,000 for undergraduates, and ₦30,000 for external participants. The online participation fee is ₦20,000.
Prof. Adeneye equally noted that effective from 1st of September 2025, late registration would incur a surcharge fee, urging interested participants to utilise the activated registration and payment portal promptly.
The deans of both faculties - Prof. Kareem Olatoye (Faculty of Law), and Prof. Olugbenga Akindoju (Faculty of Education), who was ably represented by Prof. Morounfolu -, welcomed the Central Planning Committee to their respective faculties and encouraged their faculty members to submit abstracts on time. They assured their full support for the event. The sensitisation visits were held in the Faculty of Law Conference Room and the Faculty of Education Board Room, respectively.
This year's fair will feature discussions on key topics, including:
A.*"Translational Research: A Veritable Tool to Attain Sustainable Development Goals Using The Quadruple Helix Approach*;
B.*"Sustaining Cyber Security, Data Protection, and Privacy in Nigerian Universities"*;
and
C.*"Strengthening Sustainable Agriculture, Food Security, and Agro-Innovation in Nigeria"*.
The Central Planning Committee appeals to all staff to participate en masse and make this year’s fair a memorable and impactful event for all involved.
