*-HE TING RU-* Today is the Dragon Boat Festival, which always brings back many memories from childhood: the sounds of cooking and ingredients being prepared, of the smell of rice being fried, damp bamboo leaves, the charcoal in the traditional stove being used to steam the dumplings. And the women of the family would get together across generations to spend dawn to dusk cooking and wrapping dumplings. It was this that I missed most while living overseas, and I was happy that we were able to squeeze some time in this year to make a small batch of homemade dumplings to mark the occasion this year. It's been a while, so I was a bit rusty, but it was fun nonetheless! 今天是农历5月初五、端午节。每当想起小时候过节日，就会想到外婆跟妈妈一整天从早忙到晚，预备食料、包粽子。记忆中最深刻的印象总是蒸粽子的香味，混着传统煤炭炉的气味。今年刚好有一点时间跟着妈妈一起包粽子，也称这个机会感念已故的外婆，而她一生中默默对我们一家的贡献。 祝大家端午安康! https://www.facebook.com/hetingru
