Held in conjunction with London Tech Week 2025, the UK-Malaysia Digital Gateway Forum brought together public and private sector leaders, investors, and tech ecosystem players to spotlight Malaysia’s role as a strategic digital hub in ASEAN. Hosted in collaboration with the British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (BMCC), the UK Department for Business & Trade (DBT), WIPPD, and Tech Malaysia Advocates, the forum served as a high-impact platform to explore the vast opportunities Malaysia offers in AI, digital trade, fintech, cloud services, data infrastructure, and greentech. The programme featured a keynote address by YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Digital Malaysia followed by a MoU exchange between MDEC and WIPPD, witnessed by YB Gobind. MDEC CEO, Anuar Fariz Fadzil also delivered a presentation on investment to all the aspiring investors in the audience from the UK. The session also included special video remarks by George Freeman MP, UK Trade Envoy to Malaysia.
