*Protect Our Blessings*
A nation will continue to enjoy the blessings of Allah swt as long as its people remain grateful. However, these blessings can be taken away if they become ungrateful. Likewise, Allah swt does not change the condition of a nation unless the people themselves take steps to change.
This concept applies not only to nations but also to individuals. If Allah swt has blessed someone with knowledge, abundant wealth, righteous children, a good job, and guidance in the heart, then that person should strive to protect these blessings and identify the factors that might cause Allah swt to withdraw them.
One such factor is ingratitude, which often appears as a complaining attitude even after receiving blessings. Constantly focusing on minor issues, while forgetting that this life is a test.
Another harmful factor is engaging in actions that disobey Allah swt. Its consequence is the loss of blessings, sometimes so subtly that we may not even realize that we are disobeying Him.
The foundation of a prosperous and meaningful life is to consistently seek forgiveness, thank Allah swt, and engage in sincere worship. This worship refers to all actions done solely to please Allah, and done in the correct manner. (according to the teachings of the Qur’an and Hadith.)
“That is because Allah would not change a favor which He had bestowed upon a people until they change what is within themselves. And indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing.”
(Qur’an 8:53)
