Survivors of extreme violence and torture need comprehensive healthcare that treats their psychological wounds along with their physical ones.
That’s why we opened the El CAI in Mexico 🇲🇽, where people who have suffered extreme violence, like sexual assaults, kidnapping, and torture, along the Central American migration route can receive care that is focused on their entire well-being.
After spending 3-6 months in the centre, our team of specialists hope that people are able to reintegrate back into society. Last year, 186 people joined the programme. Read about how the need for this type of care is increasing ↕️
