Tragedy in Mayfair 🔥🖤 Four children have sadly lost their lives in a devastating fire at a home-based crèche on 8th Street, Mayfair. The blaze broke out around 11AM — reportedly after a heating device was used to keep the children warm. Vision Tactical teams rushed to the scene alongside @CityofJoburgEMS & @SAPoliceService & will remain on site as investigations continue. Forensic teams are currently recovering the young victims while heartbroken families & shocked community members look on. It’s believed six children were being cared for at the time, two survived, along with the childminder. This tragedy raises serious questions about safety and legality at unregistered childcare facilities. Our deepest condolences go out to the affected families during this unimaginable time.
