*Senior Operations Manager-Guarding* 24-7Security Wynberg, Sandton Permanent Full Time Published: 10 hours ago Introduction 24/7 Security is looking for a Senior Operations Manager with extensive experience within the Security Environment to lead, manage, and oversee the operational delivery of manned guarding services across multiple client sites, ensuring service excellence, contract compliance, profitability, and employee performance. This person would be based at 8 Philo Road, Wynberg. The following criteria will be our basis for selection: Duties & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: •Lead and manage the Guarding operations team including area managers, site supervisors, Mobile Supervisors, support staff and security officers. •Ensure all guarding operations are delivered in line with SLAs, KPIs, and company standards. •Conduct regular (Weekly and Monthly) client meetings in person and site audits to ensure high service levels and customer satisfaction. •Oversee recruitment, training, deployment, and performance management of security personnel. •Maintain compliance with legal, industry, and company regulations (e.g., PSIRA, labour laws, OHSA, IOD and other compliances e.g. firearms). •Prepare and manage operational budgets, forecasts, and reports. •Drive operational efficiency and identify opportunities for improvement or innovation. •Respond effectively to incidents, emergencies, and escalations. •Liaise with HR and finance to ensure smooth administrative support for operational functions. •Monitor and ensure correct usage and maintenance of uniforms, equipment, and vehicles. •Support business development by contributing to tenders and presentations when required. Desired Experience & Qualification Required Qualifications: •Diploma or Degree in Security Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience in the related field. •PSIRA Grade A (essential). •Valid driver’s license. •Firearm competency – Private and Business, a must. Experience Required: •Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in security operations management, with at least 5 years at a senior level. •Proven experience managing large teams and multi-site contracts. •Strong understanding of guarding operations, rostering, and labour regulations. (Bargaining council and PSIRA) •Experience dealing with clients in corporate, industrial, or retail environments. •Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills. •Fully proficient computer literate, fully competent in all MS programs, rostering system and incident reporting schools (Will be tested). •Excellent written communication skills. •Strong leadership and team management skills. •Experience of dealing with clients in corporate, industrial, retail, logistics, estates and school environments. •High level of integrity and professionalism. •Financial acumen and reporting ability. •Oversee multiple branches. •Proven experience managing large teams on multiple site contracts with multiple security discipline.
