NIF CLIMBS TO $227B; PENSION, MATERNITY, & HEALTH BENEFITS SET TO INCREASE (1/3) The National Insurance Scheme (NIS) pensioners are set to receive an increase in their benefits following a 17% increase in the National Insurance Fund (NIF). Minister of Labour and Social Security, Hon. Pearnel Charles Jr., made the announcement during his Sectoral Presentation to Parliament today (May 13), noting that the NIF's value climbed from approximately $194 billion in March 2024 to $227 billion as of March 31, 2025.
