Even so, Amen. READ Matthew 24:27-35 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY *Whatever you do, be watchful and prayerful always.* MESSAGE Today's text and memory verse all confirmed that the second coming of the LORD will be a public phenomenon. Today's text compares the second coming of our Lord with the lightning that comes out of the East and shines to the west. This implied that it will not be a hidden thing when it happens. And furthermore, it will be characterized by the withdrawal of luminary bodies, and the consequent invasion of darkness over the earth. This is so obvious in today's world. We are experiencing the withdrawal of heavenly lights. And the obvious effects of darkness coming over the earth, making it extremely necessary for the believers to shine and stand forth as the only spiritual lights left to give luminosity and direction to the world that is covered in darkness. We are gradually coming to terms with the fact that people are grappling with confusion and frustration. Surely, heavenly lights are being withdrawn from the earth even though many people are ignorant about what is going on. Globally, it is an established fact that stars are falling because, the end of all things is here as predicted by God's holy prophets in scriptures. The warning of our Lord Jesus Christ is more glaring and alarming: "watch and pray" The absolute necessity for spiritual sensitivity and alertness is the obvious reason to be watchful and prayerful *Beloved, whatever you do, be watchful and prayerful, so that you can be sensitive and alert for the LORD's return.* ACTION STEPS 1. Prayerfully meditate on today's devotional guide again. 2. Be determined to make heaven and to take as many people as you can with you. 3. Be proactive and intentional in everything you do for God and men knowing that the time is short. REMEMBER *Whatever you do, be watchful and prayerful always.* PRAYERS Dear heavenly Father, thank you for today's devotional guide. I receive the grace to be ready for your coming at all times and to help get many more persons ready for you in Jesus name. Amen.
