*Environment sector* The Environment sector budget increased by 13 percent in FY 2025/26 estimates compared to the FY 2024/25 Supplementary II budget. This increase was driven by significant increases in some programmes, including the Water Resources Management programme under the State Department for Water & Sanitation, with a 160 percent increase, and the Agroforestry and Commercial Forestry Development programme under the State Department for Forestry, with an 80 percent increase in its allocations.
