It can help people process unpleasant events, identify solutions, and feel less alone, all of which are important for maintaining mental health.
We all have a responsibility to ensure that we establish safe spaces for men to open up about their mental health. This begins with breaking down stigma and avoiding preconceptions and misconceptions.
Here are some ways to help:
Be an active listener.
Encourage vulnerability.
Stay patient and consistent. Respect their privacy and boundaries.
